Licences and Regulatory Information

Dottra is the trading name of Dottra Lending Services Limited, a private company limited by shares incorporated in the Republic of Zambia.

The company is registered with the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) under Companies Registration No. 120251028871.

Our registered nature of business is Financial and Insurance Activities — Other Credit Granting (6492).

Dottra provides digital credit services through the Dottra mobile application, including access to a reusable revolving credit line for eligible customers.

Dottra Lending Services Limited holds a Money Lender's Certificate issued through the Magistrates' Court in Zambia authorising the company to conduct money-lending activities subject to applicable Zambian law and the conditions of that authorisation.

The current certificate is valid during the applicable 2026 licensing period.

Dottra conducts lending activities subject to the Money Lenders Act and other applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, and consumer protection obligations in Zambia.

Our authorisation does not remove or limit any rights available to customers under applicable law.

Dottra may be required to obtain additional licences, registrations, approvals, or regulatory permissions as its products, customer categories, payment arrangements, or business activities develop.

Where an application for an additional licence or approval is pending, the application itself does not constitute regulatory approval.

Dottra will only describe itself as holding a particular licence or regulatory approval once that licence or approval has been formally issued by the relevant authority.

Where additional regulatory authorisations become applicable to the Service, this page will be updated to reflect the current status.

Dottra may work with licensed banks, payment service providers, mobile money operators, direct debit providers, and other regulated financial-service partners to provide disbursement, repayment, collection, and related services.

The use of a third-party financial institution does not mean that the institution owns, guarantees, endorses, or assumes responsibility for credit provided by Dottra unless expressly stated.

Third-party services remain subject to their own applicable terms, operating rules, regulatory obligations, and availability.

Dottra is committed to operating in accordance with applicable Zambian laws and regulatory requirements relating to lending, consumer protection, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, data protection, financial recordkeeping, and electronic transactions.

We maintain customer identity verification and due-diligence procedures appropriate to our services and legal obligations.

Regulatory requirements may change over time. We may therefore update our processes, eligibility requirements, repayment arrangements, or other aspects of the Service where necessary to remain compliant.

Customers, partners, and other interested parties may contact Dottra if they require information about our company registration or current lending authorisation.

Where appropriate, copies or confirmation of regulatory documents may be provided through authorised Dottra channels, subject to security, confidentiality, and legal requirements.
